Rick Stout comments (Mar. 12, 2017): The Hoey was the main transportation link to and from Christian Island until around 1987 when the Indian Maiden was built. The Hoey was in Penetang owned by John Raynor of Perkinsfield in the early 90's. Later to that, according to John's daughter (who I know) the Hoey sank in Penetang. (I don't remember this). When I worked for CW West Crane Service in Owen Sound, we lifted the Hoey out of the water (c.1997 or 1998) for the winter at the Owen Sound Marina. She has been sold again and is still in Meaford today.
